Hospice - Caregiver Conference

Please join us for a free, fun, relaxing and informative day for persons caring for someone who is disabled due to chronic illness or disease, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory impairment, advanced age, or terminal illness.

The Caregiver Conference is scheduled for Saturday, March 10, 2007 from 9:00 am- 3:00 pm, and will be free to all who attend. The conference will be held at The Friendship Center at 1322 Anderson Road in Petoskey. Transportation and respite care will be available, provided by The Living Room Adult Day Services.

Attendees will be able to choose between various educational sessions as well as a enjoy, a chair massage, manicure or paraffin hand wax treatment.

Topics include:

  • Self care and stress management
  • Long distance care giving
  • Advocating for your loved one
  • Healthy easy meal
  • Dealing with difficult behaviors
