A patient shall only be admitted to Hiland Cottage on the referral of a physician licensed to practice in Michigan. 

Hospice of Little Traverse Bay will admit any patient with a life-limiting illness that meets hospice admission criteria.

Patients will be accepted for care without discrimination on the basis of race, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability (mental or physical), communicable disease, or place of national origin.

While patients are accepted for services based on their hospice eligibility, a patient's ability to pay for such services, whether through state or federal assistance programs, private insurance, or personal assets does not effect eligibility.
