Hospice - Giving, Donating, Donor Funds

Hospice Gifts, Donations, FundingYour Gift Makes a Difference!
Each year, Hospice of Little Traverse Bay touches hundreds of lives, cushioning the emotional stress and grief surrounding a loved one's death. We believe strongly in what we do and that hospice care in our community is making a lasting difference in the lives of many people.

The services hospice provides are made possible each year through generous charitable contributions. Without community support, our services like the children's bereavement program and adult grief support groups, would be limited.

Memorial Gifts
One of the most meaningful ways to support hospice is by designating Hospice of Little Traverse Bay as recipient of memorial gifts. In this way, family members and friends can help to ensure that those in need receive the special care they deserve.

Giving to Hospice is Investing in the Future
You can help by supporting annual fund-raising events or through annual gifts.

  • Charitable Contribution - A monthly monetary gift or a one-time contribution may be given. And, as with many donations, your gift to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay is tax deductible.

  • Hospice of LIttle Traverse Bay has several donor specific funds, including Children's Bereavement Program Fund, Adult Grief Support Fund, Edith Littler Volunteer Recongnition Fund, Quality of Life Fund and Staff Recognition and Education Fund.

  • Bequest - Leaving funds through a will is another option which may suit your needs as a donor. This may include money, securities, personal property or real estate. You may also wish to name Hospice as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy.

  • Trust - Leaving funds in the form of a trust is still another possibility.

All bequests should be made to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay, Inc. Your attorney can help you formulate a bequest in your will or trust to satisfy your objectives.

For more information about planned giving options, please call (231) 487-4825 or send us an email.

Buy A Brick
As part of the campaign to raise funds for Hiland Cottage and meet the Kresge Foundation challenge, HOLTB is offering the community an opportunity to be a lasting part of the hospice residence.

These tribute opportunities give donors the opportunity to remember special individuals with a memorial or tribute gift. A commemorative gift honors a loved one’s life and serves to reflect upon the memories that live forever. A gift made in honor of an individual recognizes a person who has had a special impact on your life. Gifts are also made in honor of birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and other special occasions.

For a gift of $150 or $300 you may purchase a brick in honor or memory of a loved one, in recognition of your family or friends as a lasting tribute to be placed in the walkway outside Hiland Cottage, in the memorial garden and on future walking paths.

All gifts will be used toward the Kresge Foundation challenge program and for construction of Hiland Cottage. No gift is too small and every gift makes a big difference!
